Homemade chocolate syrup

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup maple syrup or sugar
  • cup cocoa powder
  • cup water
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, whisk together maple syrup, cocoa powder, water, and salt.
  • As it thickens, whisk occassionally.
  • When it comes to a boil, remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use. It will continue to thicken in the fridge.
