How to slice carrots
A tutorial for slicing carrots into round coins.
1 chef's knife sharp
1 cutting board wooden
- carrots as many as needed
Wash and peel carrots with a vegetable peeler.
Using a chef's knife, slice off both ends of the carrot.
Steady carrot with non-dominant hand. Using an up and down rocking motion with the knife, start at one end and slice straight down creating a round coin. Slices can be thick or thin depending on desired results. Try to keep cuts even.
Continue slicing until entire carrot is cut.
