4th of July fruit salad

A delicious summery fruit salad made with red, white and blue colored fruit.

Equipment

  • 1 mini star cookie cutter
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 mini seedless watermelon
  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 1 banana or 2 if you want more
  • 1 lb blueberries
  • 4 oz blackberries

Instructions

  • Fill a bowl full of water with ΒΌ cup of white vinegar and add berries. Let sit for 2 minutes and then drain and rinse.
  • Cut watermelon into large chunks and place into serving bowl.
  • Cut tops off of strawberries, slice into quarters and place into serving bowl with watermelon.
  • Add blackberries and blueberries and stir well to evenly distribute fruit. Cover and place into fridge if making ahead.
  • Right before serving, peel and slice a banana into rounds and punch out small star shapes using the mini star cookie cutter. Place bananas on top of fruit salad.
