    one ingredient frozen fruit treats

In the summer, my favorite snack of choice is anything frozen.  While yes, I love a good ice cream, sometimes I just want something with simple ingredients that doesn't require a lot of work, like these one ingredient frozen treats.

Fruit is an excellent treat, and I always have some on hand, so a tasty frozen treat is never far away.  These simple frozen fruit treats are also an inexpensive dessert option.  Here are four of my favorite frozen treats, each containing only 1 ingredient; the fruit in which it is made from.

No fillers, no funky ingredients, no refined sugars or processed foods. Just fruit.

    One Ingredient Frozen Fruit Treats

    1) Frozen Grape Bites

    ingredient: grapes

Simply wash grapes and remove them from the stem. Place them in a freezer safe container and place in freezer. You will be surprised how addicting they will become!

Note: Please be aware of a choking hazard for little ones. Consider cutting in half before freezing for small children or not serving it to them at all.

    2) Banana Ice Cream

    ingredient: banana

Freeze a handful of bananas. I personally like to peel and cube the bananas before freezing them in a freezer bag. You can also freeze the whole banana, peel and all. This can be a bit trickier when it comes time to prepare the dessert as you will have to let them thaw a bit before using a knife to remove the peels. Next, simply throw the frozen bananas in a blender or food processor and voila Banana 'Ice Cream'

    3) Frozen Berry Kabobs

ingredient: berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries featured here)
Wash berries and place them on a bamboo skewer. Place in a freezer safe container and freeze.

    4) Frozen Pineapple Pops

    ingredient: pineapple

Cut up a pineapple and puree using a blender. Be sure to include as much juice from the pineapple as well. Pour the puree into popsicle molds and freeze. I love these molds.
